Ninja Creami Twix Ice Cream
If you love Twix bars and you’re looking for super fun and easy creations to whip up in your Ninja Creami, this recipe needs to be the next one on your list! It’s rich, smooth, and packed with real Twix pieces and finished off with a generous drizzle of caramel sauce—basically, everything that makes a Twix bar great, but with the added bonus of being ice cream. Because almost everything is better in ice cream form.
The best part? No cooking, no pudding mixes, and no weird ingredients. Just a simple vanilla ice cream base made with heavy cream, whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract—all blended together in minutes before the freezer does the rest. After a quick spin in the Ninja Creami, we’ll be adding our Twix mix-in – it’s almost definitely one of the easiest pints you’ll make, and the result is perfectly creamy ice cream that tastes like it came straight from an ice cream shop. Here’s everything you need to know…
Ingredients
- Heavy cream: This is undoubtedly my favorite base ingredient for using in the Ninja Creami, and it’s unrivalled when it comes to creating that deliciously creamy flavor and texture!
- Sweetened condensed milk: I use Carnation, which is available in most grocery stores, but any brand will work. Do note that this is different to evaporated milk.
- Whole milk: Again, I choose this for maximum creaminess.
- Vanilla extract: A little bit of this really helps to bring out the flavors, and it’s an ingredient that I typically use a few times a week when I’m making homemade ice creams.
- Twix bars: I used the mini fingers, but normal sized will work fine too as we’ll be chopping them up.
- Caramel sauce: Optional, but so good for a little extra indulgence, and it really finishes the ice cream off just perfectly!
Step-by-Step Instructions for Making Twix Ice Cream In Your Ninja Creami
I’ve included a printable recipe card at the bottom of this post. I recommend printing it out and keeping it in a folder at home – I know there’s so much Ninja Creami recipe inspiration out there, and there’s nothing more frustrating than discovering a flavor combination that you absolutely love and then not being able to find it again! The card is complete with everything you need, including ingredients, measurements, and a step-by-step guide. Let’s take a look at the process, including some photographs to help guide you through…
- Add the heavy cream, condensed milk, whole milk, and vanilla extract to your Ninja Creami tub, and mix thoroughly to combine.
- Secure the lid, and place in the freezer for 24 hours. This is what your ice cream will look like once it’s out the freezer:
- Remove from the freezer, remove the lid, wait for 10 minutes, and then spin on the ‘Ice Cream’ setting. If it’s a little crumbly or the texture isn’t quite there yet, add a splash of milk and re-spin once or twice. When the ice cream looks like this, that’s when I know it’s perfect and we’re ready for the next step:
- Form a well in the ice cream, using a cutlery knife – it should be around an inch wide, and go right the way down to the bottom of your tub.
- Add chopped Twix into the hole.
- Return the tub to the Ninja Creami, and use the ‘Mix-In’ setting to combine.
- If you like, top your ice cream with caramel sauce and extra chopped Twix before serving!
Extra Hints & Tips
- If you like, you can substitute Twix for other candy bars, like Snickers or Reese’s
- If you have leftovers, you can of course refreeze them to enjoy another day. Bear in mind though that they Twix chunks do become super hard once they’re completely frozen. I always like to leave my ice creams on the counter for a while so they reach a beautiful scoopable texture before serving
