A quick disclaimer: I’m in no way affiliated with Ninja, and this is not an official recipe! I’m just an ice cream lover who enjoys experimenting and creating my own recipes at home with my Creami. You can check out more of my Ninja Creami recipes for more inspiration and ideas.

Why I Think You’ll Love This Ninja Creami Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe

  • It’s a classic! Everyone needs a good vanilla ice cream recipe in their repertoire, and this is it
  • It’s the perfect base for a huge variety of different flavors and mix-ins. I love adding crushed Oreos to create homemade cookies and cream ice cream, or candies like M&Ms, and Mars Bar, Snickers, and Twix pieces for a homemade copycat McFlurry!
  • There’s no artificial sweeteners, nasties, or obscure ingredients that you might find it difficult to get hold of. I try to keep my ice creams as natural as possible, and this one definitely ticks those boxes

Ingredients You’ll Need To Make This Recipe

  • Heavy cream: I use this as the base for most of the Ninja Creami recipes you’ll find here at Scoop & Sprinkle, and I always have a few cartons in my fridge so I can whip up the best homemade ice creams. It gives the finished product such a wonderful creamy texture, and it’s a staple that you’ll use over and over again if you love experimenting with your Creami
  • Sweetened condensed milk: Note that this is different to evaporated milk! It’s sweeter, so it’s ideal for ice creams. I use Carnation, but any brand will be fine, and many grocery stores will do their own brand name variety
  • Whole milk: Use whole for maximum creaminess
  • Vanilla extract: This is another staple ingredient that you’ll use regularly. Try to find the highest quality variety that you can for depth of flavor

That’s it! As you can see, we’re keeping things super simple here and using just a handful of staple ingredients that are easy to find.

Tips & Tricks for Making Ninja Creami Vanilla Ice Cream

  • Use the ‘Ice Cream’ setting on the Ninja Creami for this recipe – it’s the best option for heavy cream based ice creams
  • Make sure that your tub has been in the freezer for a full 24 hours before you attempt to spin it! I know it can be super tempting to spin it a little earlier, but it’s essential to wait to create the best possible results
  • Leave your tub out of the freezer for 10-15 minutes before spinning for the perfect, creamiest texture
  • If your ice cream seems to icy after the first spin, you can add a splash of milk and spin again. I’ve never experienced this problem with this particular recipe, but it’s a good trick to know about as you try different flavors and combinations
  • If you won’t be eating the whole tub (and I definitely won’t judge if you do!), then you can of course put the leftovers back in the freezer to enjoy another day. Just make sure that you let it sit out for 10-15 minutes so you get that perfectly scoopable texture

How To Make Ninja Creami Vanilla Ice Cream

(Please note that the full, printable recipe card is available below!)

  • Add all the ingredients in to your Ninja Creami tub
  • Mix thoroughly to combine – you need to ensure that the condensed milk is fully combined into the mixture! I like to use a fork to achieve this
  • Secure the lid, and place in the freezer for 24 hours. Always make sure that it’s placed on a completely flat surface!
  • Remove from the freezer, remove the lid, wait for 10 minutes, and then spin on the ‘Ice Cream’ setting. You may find that you need to spin once more for the best texture – this typically applies if the ice cream has icy bits. Just add a splash of milk before re-spinning!
  • Enjoy!

This is what your ice cream will look like after freezing and before spinning…
