Apple Pie Dessert Dip
A sweet dessert dip that tastes like a combination of apple pie and cheesecake! This easy sweet treat is perfect for parties when you want something you can prep in advance that you know is always going to be a big hit with a crowd. Serve with dippers like graham crackers, cookies, pretzels, or apple slices for the ultimate dessert for gatherings, parties, and game days!

Why You’ll Love This Dip:
- All the cozy apple pie flavor without dealing with pie dough or baking from scratch
- The creamy cheesecake-style layer makes it feel extra fun and dessert-table worthy
- Perfect for holidays, parties, and dessert tables
- Easy to make ahead, which is always a win when entertaining
- Works with sweet or salty dippers (pretzels are my personal favorite)
- Feels a little nostalgic, a little indulgent, and very hard to stop snacking on
- Looks impressive on a dessert board but is secretly really simple to make

What You’ll Need
Note: There’s a printable recipe card at the bottom of this post!
How To Make Apple Pie Dessert Dip
- Start with the apple pie topping. Toss the apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon until everything is coated.
- Add the apples to a large skillet with a splash of water and cook over medium heat until the apples soften and everything gets nice and bubbly. Mix a little of the liquid from the pan with the cornstarch until smooth, then stir it back into the apples. Let it cook for a few more minutes until the filling thickens into that glossy, apple-pie-style sauce. Set it aside to cool completely.
- For the creamy layer, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, then mix in the Cool Whip, powdered sugar, and vanilla until fluffy and creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture into your serving dish, then spoon the cooled apple pie filling over the top.
- Serve right away or chill until party time. It’s especially good with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, apple slices, pretzels, or anything you can scoop with.
Make-Ahead Tips for Parties
This is a great make-ahead dessert for parties, holidays, or game day spreads because both layers can be prepped in advance.
Store the apple pie topping and cream cheese layer separately in the fridge, then assemble everything shortly before serving. Keeping them separate helps the apple topping stay glossy and fresh instead of soaking into the creamy layer too much overnight.
You can even prep the dippers ahead too. Graham crackers, cookies, pretzels, or sliced apples all work really well arranged on a big platter around the dip for an easy dessert board situation!
Storage
Cover the dip tightly and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
If you’re serving it straight from the fridge, let it sit at room temperature for about 15–20 minutes first so the cream cheese layer softens up and becomes extra creamy again.
I wouldn’t recommend freezing this one. The texture of the cream cheese layer and apple topping doesn’t hold up quite as well after thawing.
