Ninja Creami M&M McFlurry Copycat!

A McFlurry is my guilty pleasure and probably one of all my all-time favorite ice creams, so as soon as I got my Ninja Creami, one of my top priorities was to create my very own homemade version! That’s exactly how this recipe came to be, and I hope you’ll love it as much as I do. It’s also ridiculously easy, uses staple ingredients that you likely already have at home, and it requires no pudding mix, no eggs, and zero cooking!

Why You’ll Love This Ninja Creami McFlurry Copycat Recipe

  • It’s SO unbelievably easy! You’ll use my Ninja Creami vanilla base recipe – which is made using simple ingredients including heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk – and then add M&Ms for your mix-in
  • This recipe is a huge hit with the whole family, kids included
  • The texture is super creamy and dreamy – I like to leave mine to sit out on the counter for a little while before serving so it’s just like soft serve, but of course, you can enjoy it a little more frozen if that’s your personal preference

Ingredients You’ll Need

ninja creami m&m mcflurry ingredients

  • Heavy cream: This serves as the base for most the recipes I share at Scoop & Sprinkle, and I find it’s the best ingredient for creating the best possible texture in the Ninja Creami
  • Sweetened condensed milk: Note that this is different to evaporated milk! It’s sweeter, so it’s perfect for ice cream recipes. I use Carnation, but any brand will be just fine
  • Whole milk: Use whole for maximum creaminess! I haven’t tested this recipe using milk with a lower fat content – I can’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work per se, but it’ll likely be less creamy in texture
  • Vanilla extract: This is another staple ingredient that you’ll use regularly. Try to find the highest quality variety that you can
  • M&Ms: I used the regular chocolate M&Ms that you can find in any grocery store, but the mini ones would also work!

Can You Use A Different Type of Candy?

Yes, of course! Kit Kat, Twix, Snickers, Mars Bars, Crunchie, and Maltesers would all work really well as mix-ins for this recipe. If you’re using bigger pieces, you’ll need to chop them up before you add them.

Part of the beauty of having a Ninja Creami is that you can get creative and experiment with different flavors and additions until you find your favorites.

  • Add all the ingredients, except for the M&Ms (we’ll be adding these later, as a mix-in after the freezing stage) in to your Ninja Creami tub
  • Mix thoroughly to combine. I like to use a fork to achieve this
  • Secure the lid, and place in the freezer for 24 hours (resist the urge to spin it sooner – it really does need the full day for the best possible results!)
  • Remove from the freezer, remove the lid, wait for 10 minutes, and then spin on the ‘Ice Cream’ setting. You may find that you need to spin once more for the best texture – this typically applies if the ice cream has icy bits or it’s a little crumbly. Just add a splash of milk before re-spinning!
  • Use a cutlery knife to form a well in the ice cream – it should be around an inch wide, and go right the way down to the bottom of your tub
  • Add your M&Ms into the hole
  • Return the tub to the Ninja Creami, and use the ‘Mix-In’ setting
  • Enjoy your ice cream! I like to serve with some extra M&Ms sprinkled over the top. You could also add a swirl of caramel or chocolate sauce, if you like

If you prefer smaller chunks of chocolate, you can chop up your M&Ms before adding them into your ice cream.

It’s also worth noting that if you don’t eat the whole pint of ice cream straightaway and you want to refreeze it, you can absolutely do that, but you’ll find that the chocolate pieces have become frozen so they’re a lot harder and crunchier than when it’s freshly spun.

Ninja Creami M&M McFlurry Copycat Recipe

If you love an M&M McFlurry, you need to try this copycat recipe at home in your Ninja Creami! It's super easy and tastes wonderfully creamy and indulgent.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Freezing Time 1 day
Course Dessert
Servings 1 tub

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 200 ml whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup M&Ms

Instructions

  • Mix all the ingredients together (except for the M&Ms - these will be added later!) in the Ninja Creami tub, taking care to ensure that everything is well combined. I like to use a fork for this to ensure that the condensed milk is fully combined into the mixture.
  • Secure the lid, and place in the freezer for 24 hours. Make sure that it's on a completely flat and level surface.
  • Remove from the freezer, remove the lid, and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  • Spin on the Ninja Creami 'Ice Cream' setting. If desired, spin again - I find this typically isn't necessary for this recipe, but if it's too icy or crumbly, this is the solution!
  • Use a cutlery knife to form a well in the ice cream - it should be around an inch wide, and go right down to the bottom of the tub. Add in the M&Ms, and use the 'Mix-In' setting on the Creami to combine.
  • Serve, and enjoy!
