How We’re Making This Creamy Caesar Chicken Bake
The chicken gets quickly seared first to give it a little color and extra flavor before being transferred to a baking dish.
A creamy Caesar sauce made with Caesar dressing, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic, and Parmesan gets poured right over the top before everything is finished with plenty of mozzarella cheese.
As it bakes, the sauce becomes rich and creamy while the cheese melts over the top for an easy comfort food-style chicken dinner.

Recipe Notes & Tips
- Searing the chicken first adds extra flavor and color, but if you’re short on time, you can skip that step.
- If your chicken breasts are very thick, slicing them in half helps them cook more evenly.
- Provolone cheese works really well here if you want to switch things up from mozzarella.
- Greek yogurt can be used instead of sour cream for a slightly lighter option.
- Letting the cream cheese soften first makes the sauce much easier to mix together smoothly.

Serving Ideas
This creamy Caesar chicken is really good served over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes so you can soak up all the extra sauce.
For sides, things like roasted broccoli, green beans, asparagus, or a simple salad work really well to balance the richness.

Creamy Caesar Chicken Bake
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup Caesar dressing
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 4 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp garlic minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley optional for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Add the chicken breasts to a large bowl and season with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss to coat.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear the chicken for about 3–4 minutes per side until lightly golden brown. The chicken does not need to be fully cooked at this stage.
- Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the Caesar dressing, sour cream, softened cream cheese, chicken broth, and garlic until combined.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, then pour the sauce over the chicken.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes so the sauce can thicken slightly before serving.
- Top with chopped parsley if using, then serve warm.
