Strawberry Acai Refresher
If you’ve ever sipped on a Starbucks Strawberry Acai Refresher and thought, I could totally drink this all summer, you’re not alone. This fruity, slightly tangy, and just-sweet-enough drink has a cult following for a reason. I’ve created this coffee shop inspired version to make at home, and I think you’ll love it! And if you love the Pink Drink, you’re already halfway there—this refresher is its slightly bolder, less creamy cousin.
The best part? You don’t need to be in a long drive-thru line (or pay for add-ons) to enjoy it. This homemade version is fresh, vibrant, and easy to customize—plus, it’s free of artificial syrups and mystery ingredients. Açaí berry powder brings an antioxidant boost, while real strawberries add natural sweetness and a bright, summery flavor. And if you like a little fizz, swap in sparkling water for a subtle effervescence.
Consider this your go-to summer drink—hydrating, refreshing, and completely addictive in the best way. Let’s make it together!

Ingredients
For the Acai Base:
- Acai berry powder
- Cold water or coconut water
- Honey, maple syrup, or a natural sweetener of your choice
For the Strawberry Blend:
- Fresh or frozen strawberries
- Cold water (or sparkling water for fizz)

How To Make Your Strawberry Acai Refresher
I’ve included a printable recipe card for your convenience at the end of this post! Here, I’ll walk you through the steps and share some snaps of the process…
- Mix the Acai Base:
In a glass, combine the acai berry powder with 1 cup of cold water (or coconut water). To dissolve the powder smoothly, you can use a small electric whisk, which will help eliminate lumps. Once mixed, pour the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any remaining lumps of acai powder. Add honey or your chosen sweetener and mix again until incorporated.

- Prepare the Strawberry Blend:
If using fresh strawberries, slice them and blend with 1-2 cups of cold water until smooth. If using frozen strawberries, blend them directly with water until you reach a desired consistency. Add sliced strawberries into the acai base and stir until everything is well combined.

- Serve:
Add ice cubes and if desired, top with sparkling water for a refreshing fizz.
- Garnish:
Add a squeeze of lime or lemon juice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Stir well, and enjoy!

Tips & Variations for the Best Strawberry Açaí Refresher
- Use high-quality açaí powder – Not all açaí is created equal. Look for a freeze-dried açaí powder with no added sugars or fillers for the best flavor and color.
- Adjust the sweetness – Some like it tart, some like it sweet! Start with a little honey or maple syrup and adjust to taste. If your strawberries are extra ripe, you might not need much sweetener at all.
- Blend for a smoother texture – If you want a perfectly smooth refresher (no strawberry bits), blend everything and strain through a fine mesh sieve before serving.
- Chill your ingredients – For an ultra-refreshing drink, use cold water (or coconut water) and chill your glass ahead of time. No one wants a lukewarm refresher!
