Reasons To Try This Ninja Creami Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe
Strawberry ice cream is a classic that everyone loves, and this recipe is a staple. I prefer to create treats without artificial flavors and sweeteners, so if that’s important to you too, this one ticks those boxes.
It’s so wonderfully creamy and fruity, and it rivals any store-bought version that I’ve ever tried!
It’s also possible to use this recipe as a base for other creations. You might want to add in white chocolate chips, cookie chunks, or shortcake pieces. It’s also fantastic with a swirl of strawberry or chocolate sauce, or served with fresh chopped fruit.

Ingredients List
- Fresh strawberries: You can use frozen strawberries if it’s more convenient, though you’ll need to thaw them first.
- Granulated sugar
- Honey: If you like, you can substitute this for maple syrup or golden syrup, based on what you already have in your pantry. Do keep in mind though that the flavor profile will be very slightly different.
- Lemon juice: I like to keep a bottle of this in the cupboard for baking projects so I’ve always got some available, but of course you can use freshly squeezed if you prefer. The touch of acidity really brings out the flavor of the strawberries.
- Heavy cream: My favorite ingredient to use in Ninja Creami recipes! It’s unrivalled when it comes to creating a wonderfully creamy texture.
- Toppings and mix-ins: Completely optional! I love enjoying this ice cream just as it is, but if you want, you can add white chocolate chips and finish off with a swirl of strawberry sauce.
Expert tips and tricks
- You’ll be using the ‘Ice Cream’ setting on the Ninja Creami to make this recipe, which works best for heavy cream based recipes
- Never fill higher than the line on your tub
- Always make sure that your tub has been in the freezer for a full 24 hours! I know it can be super tempting to try spinning it sooner than that, but you’ll be compromising the final result. Sometimes, making fresh ice cream is an exercise in patience!
- Leave your tub out of the freezer for 10-15 minutes before spinning for the perfect texture
- I found that this recipe didn’t need to be spun more than once, but if you find that it’s a little crumbly after the first spin, you can do it again
- Leftovers can be popped back in the freezer to be enjoyed later. Just make sure that you let it sit out for around 15 minutes so it’s scoopable before you tuck in again

- Remove from the freezer, remove the lid, allow to sit for 10 minutes, and spin on the ‘Ice Cream’ setting. You might need to re-spin
