You need just 3 ingredients and no fancy equipment to make this blueberry frozen yogurt! Made with Greek yogurt, frozen blueberries, and a drizzle of maple syrup, it’s creamy, refreshing, and packed with fruity flavor. It’s one of my favorite desserts to keep in the freezer during the summer months because it feels like a treat while still being incredibly simple to make.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe:
- Made with just 3 simple ingredients.
- Naturally sweetened with maple syrup.
- No ice cream maker required.
- Creamy, refreshing, and packed with blueberry flavor.
- Easy to customize with different fruits and toppings.
- Perfect for a quick summer dessert or afternoon snack.

What You’ll Need & Process Overview
You only need three ingredients: Greek yogurt, frozen blueberries, and a little maple syrup for sweetness. I like using either 2% or full-fat Greek yogurt because it creates a creamier texture, while frozen blueberries give the frozen yogurt its beautiful color and naturally sweet berry flavor.
To make it, everything is blended together in a food processor until smooth and creamy. The mixture is then transferred to a loaf pan and frozen until scoopable. Couldn’t be easier!

Recipe Notes & Tips
- Use whole-milk or 2% plain Greek yogurt for the creamiest texture. Nonfat yogurt will work, but the frozen yogurt won’t be quite as rich and smooth.
- Make sure your blueberries are frozen, not fresh. Frozen blueberries help create the thick, scoopable consistency that makes this recipe feel like a real frozen treat.
- Blend the mixture on low speed for about 2 minutes, then stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula before blending again. This helps everything combine evenly.
- Give the mixture a quick taste before transferring it to the loaf pan. If you’d like it a little sweeter, simply add a bit more maple syrup and blend again.
- The frozen yogurt will firm up as it freezes. Let it sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before scooping for the best texture.
- For the smoothest results, spread the mixture evenly in the loaf pan before freezing.
- If you’re serving this to kids, try topping it with fresh blueberries, granola, or a drizzle of extra maple syrup.

Storage Notes
- Cover the loaf pan tightly with a lid or plastic wrap and store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
- For the best texture, press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the frozen yogurt before covering the container. This helps prevent ice crystals from forming.
- Homemade frozen yogurt becomes firmer the longer it sits in the freezer. If it’s too hard to scoop, let it rest at room temperature for about 10 minutes before serving.
- You can also microwave it for 10-15 seconds to soften it slightly, but be careful not to let it melt!

Variations & Extras
This blueberry frozen yogurt is easy to customize with different fruits and sweeteners.
- Try different frozen fruit: Swap the frozen blueberries for frozen mixed berries, strawberries, peaches, or your favorite frozen fruit blend. The recipe method stays exactly the same.
- Use a different sweetener: Replace the maple syrup with honey or agave nectar if preferred. Start with the same amount and adjust to taste.
- Add a citrus twist: Blend in a splash of fresh lemon juice or a teaspoon of lemon zest to brighten the blueberry flavor.
- Mix in extras: Stir in mini chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or fresh blueberries after blending for added texture.
- Make it sweeter: If you prefer a sweeter frozen yogurt, simply add an extra tablespoon or two of maple syrup before freezing.
Serving Ideas
- Scoop the frozen yogurt into bowls or serve it in waffle cones for a classic frozen treat.
- Pair it with a slice of pound cake, angel food cake, or a fudgy brownie for an easy dessert.
- Layer it with fresh blueberries, strawberries, and granola to make a frozen yogurt parfait.
- Top with extra fresh berries and a drizzle of maple syrup for a simple but beautiful presentation.
- Serve alongside lemon cookies or shortbread for a delicious combination of flavors.
- Add a sprinkle of chopped nuts, toasted coconut, or granola for a little crunch.
